The Asymptotic Equivalence of the FisherInformation Matrices for Type I and Type IICensored

چکیده
Type I and Type II censored data arise frequently in controlled laboratory studies concerning time to a particular event (e.g., death of an animal or failure of a physical device). Log-location-scale distributions (e.g., Weibull, lognormal, and loglogistic) are commonly used to model the resulting data. Maximum likelihood (ML) is generally used to obtain parameter estimates when the data are censored. The Fisher information matrix can be used to obtain large-sample approximate variances and covariances of the ML estimates or to estimate these variances and covariances from data. The derivations of the Fisher information matrix proceed diierently for Type I (time censoring) and Type II (failure censoring) because the number of failures is random in Type I censoring, but length of the data collection period is random in Type II censoring. Under regularity conditions (met with the above-mentioned log-location-scale distributions), we outline the diierent derivations and show that the Fisher information matrices for Type I and Type II censoring are asymptotically equivalent.

ON SELBERG-TYPE SQUARE MATRICES INTEGRALS
In this paper we consider Selberg-type square matrices integrals with focus on Kummer-beta types I & II integrals. For generality of the results for real normed division algebras, the generalized matrix variate Kummer-beta types I & II are defined under the abstract algebra. Then Selberg-type integrals are calculated under orthogonal transformations.
متن کاملEstimation in Simple Step-Stress Model for the Marshall-Olkin Generalized Exponential Distribution under Type-I Censoring
This paper considers the simple step-stress model from the Marshall-Olkin generalized exponential distribution when there is time constraint on the duration of the experiment. The maximum likelihood equations for estimating the parameters assuming a cumulative exposure model with lifetimes as the distributed Marshall Olkin generalized exponential are derived. The likelihood equations do not lea...

متن کاملOptimal Simple Step-Stress Plan for Type-I Censored Data from Geometric Distribution
Abstract. A simple step-stress accelerated life testing plan is considered when the failure times in each level of stress are geometrically distributed under Type-I censoring. The problem of choosing the optimal plan is investigated using the asymptotic variance-optimality as well as determinant-optimality and probability-optimality criteria. To illustrate the results of the paper, an example i...

In this paper, modication of the optimal homotopy asymptotic method (MOHAM) is appliedupon singular initial value Lane-Emden type equations and results are compared with the available exactsolutions. The modied algorithm give the exact solution for dierential equations by using one iterationonly.
